Street Children in the Philippines
Some of these children are orphaned or abandoned. We exist to find permanent, loving families through international adoption and local home placement for these orphaned and abandoned kids. A place to belong, heal and thrive.
While our staff work to match kids in need with forever families, we provide a home for as long as is needed. Our house parents give love, create safety, and begin the process of healing for the orphaned and neglected children in our care.
According to UNICEF, an estimated 100 million children worldwide live at least part of their time on the streets. In the Philippines, the number of children and youth living part of their lives on the streets in the Philippines could reach two million out of a total population of 115 million people. Street children are always hungry. They leave home hungry and beg on the street where they are vulnerable to disease, malnutrition, illiteracy, abuse and trafficking for sexual exploitation.

It is the vision of Destiny’s Promise Home for Children Foundation, Inc. to help abandoned, neglected, and orphaned children in the Philippines - children who are the neediest and living in extremely difficult or poor environments and have no family members willing or able to care for them. It is our vision to provide these children with an environment that can give them happy childhood memories of a loving home, the positive influence of spiritual awareness, and the basic necessities of life.
Destiny’s Promise Home for Children Foundation, Inc. helps to restore social functioning of abandoned, neglected, and orphaned children who are in crisis and help them towards family reunification or adoption and community integration.
Through our mission, nearly 100 kids have been successfully placed into permanent families. Transformed by God’s love and the healing that comes from family, they are now on a path of hope.

The Work That We Do
Destiny's Promise Home for Children Foundation, Inc. takes in children ages 0-10 who are severely abused, abandoned, surrendered or living on the streets.
Some children need a safe place to wait or to heal while their abusers are investigated and prosecuted. Many times it is a family member or neighbor. Often they must be removed from their homes. We desire to offer a home where a child can heal and find stability.
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Philippine Republic Act 8043 states that every child has a right to a family. We help to legally place children into loving families approved by the Philippine government. This is done through the local adoption procedures of the DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) as well as through inter-country adoption through NACC (National Authority for Child Care). Our facilities are also a home for children that are not readily adopted, including street children.
